Background

Casey was born out of wedlock to an Ishgardian knight and a nurse. When she was young her father was killed in battle. Her mother struggled to keep them afloat. She often found herself having to help her mother in the Ser Vaindreau's Grace Hospitaller , so they could eat and have shelter from the harsh weather found in Ishgard.

Casey developed a passion, at a young age, for tending to the broken bodies of men returning from various battles. She observed and got as much hands on work that the doctors and other nurses would allow.

Her mother died in Casey's teens leaving her alone on the harsh world. On her death bed her mother took a flower from her hair & gave it to her daughter explaining to Casey that flowers have always brought her joy and have allowed her to see the good in the world. Because of this Casey now always wears a flower in her hair as a reminder of her mother and her last words.

Upon her mother's passing the matron of the hospital took her under his wing, teaching Casey everything he knew about medicine and the art of alchemy.

In her early 20's Casey had grown into a fine doctor and was even sent out to the frontlines to help the wounded return to battle faster. Seeing all the broken bodies of the men Casey felt as if she was living in their shadows. Creating stories for them, never creating her own story to tell.

When she returned to the hospitaller she explained to the man that took her in that she needed to go find her own place in the world. Casey left Ishgard ,with his blessing, at the young age of 22 (now 24). Casey frequently returns to visit the man that took her in and taught her what she knows. When she visits Ishgard you can find her lending a hand around the hospitaller tending to the old, young, sick and wounded.
